In this year’s FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) competition, Senior Solutions, hundreds of Oregon FLL teams comprised of more than 3000 students have been exploring how to improve the quality of life for seniors by helping them continue to be independent, engaged, and connected in their communities. Teams complete a research project based on the Senior Solutions theme, design, build and program an autonomous robot, and participate in activities that demonstrate their understanding of the FIRST® LEGO® League core values of teamwork and discovery.
Teens make great FLL mentors! It is a challenging experience but very rewarding, not to mention a great accomplishment to add to your resume.
Throughout December 2012 teams will compete at regional tournaments to determine who will advance to the State Championship in January 2013.
Table competitions take place in the gym
Depending on the venue, project presentations and core values session are open to a limited number of family members only.
