Technology Awareness Program University of Arkansas July 14-19 2013

Technology Awareness Program is a program of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Arkansas Walton College of Business. This camp really focuses on technology and business and their intersection. If you are interested in learning about the technology that is critical to business, like accounting, finance and computer information systems, you’ll want to apply for this camp. The camp brings 25 minority and women onto the campus of University of Arkansas to take classes taught by university professors, meet business and government professionals, and learn about the business world. Students work in teams on a challenge presentation.

  • Camp runs July 14-19
  • The camp is free. Including room and board, instruction and materials. There is conflicting information on the website with regards to transportation. The web page says that round-trip plane ticket is included. The FAQ’s state that the family is responsible for transportation. I’ve sent an email to ask for clarification.
  • Applicants must be minority or majority women who will be starting their junior or senior year in 2013
  • Applications (which include a brief teacher or counselor recommendation and a copy of your transcript) are due May 3, so get going!
