OMSI has some fun on tap later this month, May 20, 2013. Students and families are invited to participate in InventionX, a project meant to expose students to the powerful combination (and fun!) of invention + entrepreneurship.  Here are more details about the OMSI event:

Join OMSI and the InventionX team as we guide students through the dynamic process of invention. The exhibits and displays at OMSI will provide an amazing set of inspiration for our inventions! The Invention Challenges posed to students in this workshop will be:

  • Invent a “green machine” that will save the earth’s resources to help protect against climate change.
  • Invent a tool or device to help someone with special needs.

Students will have the chance to choose their challenge, and be guided through the 5 step InventionX process to create their own solutions. Start times are available at 5pm and 6pm. Time to complete the workshop typically takes between 2 and 3 hours including the final invention Pitch stage when students can win raffle prizes from the museum gift shop and join the online group of Invention Ambassadors for more exciting opportunities!
