The DuPont Science Essay Challenge due January 31, 2014

The DuPont Challenge Science Essay Competition is now open for submissions.

Here is how it works:

Students choose from 4 categories and write a 700-1000 word essay on their chosen topic. Submissions are via the website and are due January 31, 2014. This year’s topics include:

  • Together, we can feed the world.
  • Together, we can build a secure energy future.
  • Together, we can protect people and the environment.
  • Together, we can be innovative anywhere.

A variety of awards (savings bonds and all-expenses paid trips to Walt Disney World and Kennedy Space Center in Orlando, FL) will be given to winners in the Junior (grades 7, 8 and 9) and Senior (grades 10, 11, and 12) divisions. Prizes across the divisions total $100,000.
